Our Bell Elementary fourth graders got to spend a gorgeous fall day visiting Emerald Village in Spruce Pine. Students got to visit the NC Mining Museum, toured the underground Bon Ami mine (including the black light tunnel!), visited the Gemstone Mine flume to search for gems, and got to interact with great exhibits and displays as they learned about rocks and minerals in the NC Mountain region. Our students had a great time and learned a lot. Thanks so much to Ms. Smith and Ms. Jordan for organizing this field trip experience!
