Dula, Tina (Kindergarten)

Welcome to my Classroom
Tina Dula
Charles C. Bell Elementary

Hello! My name is Tina Dula and I am thrilled to be teaching Kindergarten at Bell Elementary!  This will be my sixth year at Bell and I can't begin to say how much I love being part of this school family.  I am an Asheville native and product of our local school system.  It is a pleasure to teach in the same schools that gave me so much growing up!  I graduated from UNCA in May 2011 with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and a K-6 teaching licensure.

I enjoy spending time with my three wonderful children: Megan, Lauren and Matthew.  I love to read, hike, travel, and garden (though my thumb tends to be a bit more brown than green).  We have a small zoo in our home with a dog, two cats, a rabbit, a guinea pig, a tree frog, and a fish.  Needless to say, I am an animal lover! Most all of our animals are rescues.

My teaching philosophy is one that centers around inquiry-based learning.  Children are provided with opportunities to explore and discuss their ideas in a collaborative fashion.  This hands-on approach empowers students and builds self confidence.

I am so excited about this school year!  It will be an amazing year of growth for your children, and I feel privileged to be a part of their first year of school!
