Dula, Tina (Kindergarten)

Welcome to my Classroom
Tina Dula
Charles C. Bell Elementary

Hello! My name is Tina Dula and I am thrilled to be teaching Kindergarten at Bell Elementary!  This will be my seventh year at Bell and I can't begin to say how much I love being part of this school family.  I am an Asheville native and product of our local school system.  It is a pleasure to teach in the same schools that gave me so much growing up!  I graduated from UNCA in May 2011 with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and a K-6 teaching licensure.

I enjoy spending time with my husband and our six amazing children.  I love to read, listen to music, and garden (though my thumb tends to be a bit more brown than green).  I also love animals. We have a dog, two cats, a guinea pig and a fish. Frannie the guinea pig and Webster the fish join me in my classroom and are well loved by our Bell students and staff.

My teaching philosophy is
one that centers around inquiry-based learning.  Children are provided with opportunities to explore and discuss their ideas in a collaborative fashion.  This hands-on approach empowers students and builds self confidence.

I am so excited about this school year!  It will be an amazing year of growth for your children, and I feel privileged to be a part of their first year of school!
