Thank you to Jason Boyer from WLOS for Teaching about WeatherSecond Grade students at Bell learned about forecasting weather from WLOS chief meteorologist Jason Boyer on Tuesday, December 15th. Mr. Boyer hosted a 40 minute Zoom session for all 2nd grade students to share the tools he uses to forecast the weather and also a behind the scenes look at how he determines weather patterns.

The students had many questions with a timely one for the winter season: "How do you know when we will have snow?"

Following the lesson, students used their iPads to write a thank you note to Mr. Boyer and illustrated their favorite season using the SeeSaw LMS drawing feature.

Second grade teacher Diane Bridges said there were ear to ear smiles and high engagement during the presentation. It was a lesson connected to real world experiences to support a 2nd grade Science standard.
