I began my teaching career as an interim 1st grade teacher at The Tennesse School for the Deaf. I then worked briefly as a first grade teacher for Knox County Schools in Tennessee. I spent 4 years as an Itinerant Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing in Knox County. After moving to Cleveland, Ohio, for my husband's job, I chose to stay home with my children for several years. We moved to Asheville in 1995 and I began subbing in the Deaf Education program. In September of 2005 I accepted a full time position at Bell. I love being back in NC and find Bell to be a wonderful place to teach. I hope to be here for many years.
