STEM Lab teaches students Problem Solving Skills
STEM Lab introduces Engineering Design Model
Bell is supporting student success with a new program this school year. The computer lab has been redesigned as a STEM Lab to support student learning in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. Students participate in teacher selected and guided challenges that support curriculum standards and focus on collaborative problem solving methods. They will use the Engineering Design Process, where students go through a series of steps to figure out how to create solutions to a problem related to an identified objective. They may or may not always find a solution, but they learn to evaluate their success or failure to improve their project over time. If your student is at Bell, ask them to share about their experience in the STEM Lab this school year!
